Why not ;) After sustaining a bad foot injury 10 months ago I (Gemma) have really struggled to keep my fitness on track which for me is deeply depressing. After working hard on my swimming and cycling I have managed to 'maintain' my fitness levels, but the infuriating thing is not being able to go to the next level or improve much.
After careful consideration and with dream trip to South Africa in the diary for January me and my husband have decided to go for it after admiring the power of P90x from afar.
We are both pretty excited and start on the 8th October, we look forward to not only the physical challenge, but the challenge of making great healthy tasty food and still zapping our never ending appetites, oh and obviously seeing the results. We'll be recording our journey (good times and bad) and it wont just end after 90 days.
To date I've been trialling out the workouts and seeing what I'm letting myself in for as well as trying to get some kind of upper body fitness going on.... Years of building power in my legs and I lost the power in my arms!
So far impressed, it's rare I find a home workout that really pushes me and even with 3 workouts a week, I'm noticing some changes. We have already made adjustments to our diet but still allowing treats and have been off the rice/potato starchy carbs for a month now, not missing them at all.
Think that's all for now, I'll get our posts short and sweet :)
Bring it
